Café Femenino Guatemala Whole Bean Coffee (6 oz.)

This coffee is grown on farms owned and operated by women producers located in the Huehuetenango region of Guatemala.
They are part of the ASOBAGRI co-op, which was founded in 1989 by 20 K'anjob'al Mayan coffee and cardamon farmers. Despite regional political instability and poverty, ASOBAGRI grew steadily throughout the 1990s. The cooperative became certified by Fair Tade Labeling Organizations International (FLO) in 1999.
ASOBAGRI is incredibly diverse, representing 67 different Mayan communities across the northwesternmost departments of Guatemala, El Quiché and Huehuetenango. Members in parts of these departments speak indigenous languages including Q’anjob‘al, Chuj, Acateco, Mam, and Ixil.
In 2010, the ASOBAGRI cooperative joined the Café Femenino program and exported its first container of coffee and Café Femenino Coffee ASOBAGRI was launched in 2020.

Left to its own devices, our black coffee really gets to showcase all the flavors that sing in our Vietnamese blend, ranging from its nutty, mocha undertones to the bite that keeps things interesting.
